General layout

The building is available to book in its entirety or as four separate rooms (or any combination). The Main Hall can be used empty, for dance or sport, with 120 seats for presentations or with tables for 80 covers dining. There is also a fully equipped kitchen with crockery and glasses. Garn Fawr is the medium sized room typically used for semi formal meetings (for 20 people). Garn Fach is the small room which has been converted into a “home from Home” comfy lounge meeting area for small informal meetings (for 10 people).

We have off road parking for approximately 30 cars in the the front car park.

Externally we have an attractive walled garden with large lawn with external seating and barbecue facilities. This can accommodate bouncy castles and marquees. It has external power for live music etc.

For large events the playing field beside the school can be used by agreement.

Main Hall

The main hall has a full “5.1 audio visual” system including projector, large built in screen, loudspeakers. and hearing loop. We can accommodate various inputs (such as laptops) through our mixing desk in addition to our DVD player and twin microphones. The main hall can be used configured in a number of ways. The following are typical layouts to give an indication of size.

Audience: 115 seats in audience layout for talks or presentations (10 rows of 10 plus 3 rows of five)

Dining: 11 tables (1830mm or 6’ long) providing 77 seats in dining layout for Meals

Fair / Market: 12 tables (1830mm or 6’ long) and  24 seats in FAIR / MARKET layout. This can be continuous tables if required.

Kitchen

The kitchen is fully equipped for large scale catering and is connected to the main hall via a servery and door. The equipment includes: commercial electric cooker, freezer, fridge, industrial dish washer (5 minute cycle), water geyser for hot drinks, slow cookers, etc. There is also crockery, cutlery and glasses for 100 covers.

Garn Fawr

Garn Fawr is often used for meetings, presentations or training and can comfortably seat 20 people. It includes a kitchenette and a large (50″) internet enabled Television for presentations with PC HDMI cable. It is also available as an extension for large events in the main hall. It has its own kitchenette with fridge, kettle and crockery, for hot drinks and light meals.

Garn Fach (“Warm Space”)

Garn Fach is the small room which has now been converted into a “Home from Home” comfy lounge meeting area, our warm space, for small informal meetings (for 10 people). It includes two sofas, two armchairs and a dining table for six. The room includes a digital radio, DVD player and 42″ display with DVD player and/or PC HDMI cable, games, chess, cards and books from the library. Adjacent is the dedicated kitchenette, with fridge and kettle, for hot drinks and light meals.

Furniture

We have over a hundred cushioned dining seats which are approximately 450 x 450mm (18″ x 18″) on plan.

We have modular tables all 760mm (2′ 6″) wide. These come in 1830mm (6′), 1520mm (5′) and 760mm (2’6″) lengths.
